衔接理论视角下高职商务英语专业学生阅读教学实证研究

  BEC(剑桥商务英语)是衡量一名高职院校商务英语专业学生专业英语水平的基本标准。在BEC考试中,阅读部分往往是造成考试失利的主要因素。原因是在做阅读试题时,很多学生只是孤立地去读一个句子,甚至将阅读的重点放在自己难以理解的个别单词上,而不是去分析各语言单位之间的语义关系。从BEC考试阅读题型设计可以看出,每一个阅读材料是由一个个相互意义关联的语篇构成。如果在衔接理论指导下对高职商务英语专业学生的阅读教学进行实证研究,也许能够发现一些改进阅读教学的技巧和方法。 文章的实证研究基于一个大胆的假设:将阅读学习策略聚焦于整体语篇的谋篇机制——衔接,就可以大大提升高职院校商务英语专业学生的阅读效果和理解能力。本研究从某高职院校商务英语专业二年级2个自然班级中各抽取30人(共60名学生)为研究对象,将其分为控制组和实验组,进行实证研究,历时一个学期。在控制组实施传统的阅读教学方法,在实验组采用衔接理论指导下的阅读教学,主要聚焦于以下三个问题的研究:运用衔接理论指导商务英语阅读教学是否有助于高职学生形成积极主动的阅读学习态度?是否有助于高职学生掌握语篇的整体意义?是否有助于提升高职学生在BEC(中级...
