“象思维”观照下汪榕培《诗经》英译本评析

  《诗经》是中国最早的一部诗歌总集,是现实主义文学的源头,被称为中华民族的文化元典,其对后世文学创作产生了深远的影响。在当今中国文化“走出去”的时代背景下,《诗经》翻译研究具有重要的现实意义。目前国内外《诗经》英译研究多从文学、语言学或美学角度切入,从《诗经》中所承载的思辨形态和文化精神角度关注得甚少。故此,从思维模式角度对《诗经》英译本进行批评研究,有助于彰显中国传统文化的本色,满足西方社会对中国文化的需求。本文以中华文化所特有的认识形态和智慧样式“象思维”为理论视角,以汪榕培先生的《诗经》英译本为研究对象,从“象”的呈现、“象思维”的运用以及对原作精神的忠实这三个维度来分析和研究其译本。作为华夏文明的精神创造,“象思维”是更具本原性和创造性的思维方式,指的是在思考过程中通过联想、想象等方式把事物具象化、形象化,进而理解事物的一种思维。中华民族自古以来就运用“象思维”来认识宇宙万物,中国的诗词歌赋等文学作品也深受其影响。论文基于“象思维”的哲学认识样式,评析汪榕培《诗经》英译本在意象呈现和语言表征上与原文的契合程度。首先,对国内外的《诗经》英译研究进行了概述,发现其大多是从文学或语言学...
