中国重点综合性大学(KCCU)国际研究生辅导经验

  辅导为国际研究生的成功和进步做出了相当大的贡献。本混合方法案例研究的目的是探讨中国重点综合性大学(KCCU)的导师与国际研究生(IGSM)之间的辅导关系。本研究以Bronfenbrenner(2009)生物生态系统理论为镜头,了解IGSM在KCCU辅导经验的多重因素影响。六名导师和他们的六名国际研究生学员参加了各自持续45至90分钟的个人面试(二元方法)。此外,研究人员还与12名IGSM进行了焦点小组讨论,并为其他167名国际研究生分发了一份调查问卷,以提高信息的可信度。在这一混合方法的案例研究中,研究人员采用了系统的归纳方法来分析涉及备忘录写作、多步骤编码和理论采样的数据。研究结果表明,辅导是一种动态、复杂和强大的工具和投资,有利于导师(通过增强他们的信心、获得晋升和满足感)、学员(通过增强他们的个人、学术和专业技能和实现其目标)和高等教育机构(提高保留率和毕业率,提高声誉和排名等)。IGSM的年龄、以往在本国的学术成就、导师与学员会议频率时间、对现有支助服务的认识、教学和学习策略、课程、经济和语言障碍对IGSMs的学习成绩有很大影响。导师们表示,有必要制定一个标准化和创新的辅导计划...
