　　艾丽丝·默多克(1919--1999)被誉为二战后英国文学界最多产影响最广的小说家之一。在四十年的写作生涯里,她完成了二十六部小说、两部诗集以及多部戏剧作品,这一切成就都是二十世纪英国文学最重要的组成部分之一。艾丽丝·默多克的小说获奖无数:1973年出版的《黑王子》获得詹姆士·泰勒·布莱克纪念奖;1974年出版的《神圣的和亵渎的爱情机器》获得惠特布雷德奖;1978年出版的《大海,大海》获得布克奖。她曾六次获布克奖提名,为英国当代作家之冠。 本文试图从叙事学角度来解读她的代表作——《黑王子》。除了导论和结论以外,本文共分成三个章节。第一章试图分析该书的叙事框架。该书一共包括两个框架:文本内在的框架结构是故事层;外在的框架结构是评论层。第二章试图分析该书的叙事声音。这将是本论文的重点所在。利用女性主义叙事学中的集体型叙述声音来分析书中三个中年妇女在面对不幸婚姻时所做出的不同选择。第三章试图分析该书叙述者的性别意识。首先分析默多克总体的艺术观念和技巧,然后再分析其在本书的男性叙述者中的具体运用。
