《威尼斯商人》对话的语用分析

作为一种特殊的文学体裁,戏剧是由对话和情节构成的。戏剧中的人物对白不仅能够揭示人物的心理活动,体现人物的行为动机,而且对推动情节发展方面起着重要作用。所以戏剧中的对话不仅是文学研究者关注的对象,也引起语言学家的重视。本文试图从语用学的角度详细剖析《威尼斯商人》中人物对话所表达的丰富会话含义,从而为读者提供一个新的视角来解读文本。 莎士比亚戏剧的《威尼斯商人》是英国文学的经典之作,在英国及世界文学史上都享有崇高的地位和深远的影响。戏剧成功地塑造了贪婪的夏洛克,善良的安东尼奥,智慧的鲍西亚等经典人物形象。正是这些人物的语言在戏剧结构中充当刻画人物性格、揭示隐含主题的工具。 从语用学角度对文学巨著中的人物对话进行分析的文章寥若晨星,尽管不少学者以传统的文学方式对其进行过研究。所以本文将应用语用学理论对其中的对白进行分析。用奥斯汀和赛尔的言语行为来分析为什么剧中人物不直接表达自己的真实想法,这其中有什么言外之意;以格莱斯的会话含义理论为指导,来分析为什么剧中人物会违背合作原则,而会话含义又是怎样产生的;用利奇的礼貌原则来分析不同性格和身份的人物如何间接地实施他们的言语行为,如何采取有利于他们自...
