　　奥斯卡·王尔德(1854——1900)是十九世纪著名的剧作家、评论家、诗人、散文家,出生于爱尔兰,是英国唯美主义文学的代表人物,“为艺术而艺术”的倡导者之一。王尔德的一生注定是大起大落、充满争议和戏剧性的一生。他的人生和他的那些脍炙人口的作品一起,为后世留下了一段迷人的传奇。 王尔德的唯一小说《道林·格雷的画像》讲述的是一位美少年道林·格雷为永葆青春,贪图享乐,出卖了自己的灵魂,而最终走向毁灭的故事,该小说从问世以来一直饱受争议。从某种意义上说,这部小说像是王尔德自身矛盾人格的最佳写照。本文试图通过对这部小说中三个主人公的人物形象进行分析,结合维多利亚时期的时代背景和王尔德本人的生活经历和其唯美主义思想,从而揭示出作者本人的性格特征。 本文分为三章。第一章介绍王尔德所处的维多利亚时期的社会背景和他本人的生活经历和文学成就及其唯美主义思想;第二章介绍他的小说《道林·格雷的画像》主要情节和三个主人公;第三章在结合前两章的基础上,对比分析作者本人的人格特征。在此基础上,本文得出如下结论:亨利代表了社会对作者的性格认知:矛盾机智又浪荡不羁;霍华德是作者对自己的性格认知:崇尚完美,取向双重;道林...
