西方侦探小说中会话含义的传译

侦探小说是一种重要的文学类型。数以千计的西方侦探小说已经被翻译成中文,受到中国读者热烈欢迎。然而,针对侦探小说及侦探小说翻译的研究却相对较少；有必要对侦探小说的翻译进行继续和更深入的研究。 人物对话在侦探小说中占有很大篇幅,起着举足轻重的作用。而且由于侦探小说这种特殊文学类型的需要,人物对话常常是言简义丰、意在言外。本文应用格莱斯的会话含义理论分析侦探小说对话中的会话含义,考察了它们在英汉翻译中是否得到了有效再现,对其中有待商榷的译文探讨更妥当的译法。本文试图提出针对侦探小说中会话含义再现的翻译原则及具体翻译策略,旨在提高西方侦探小说英译汉的翻译质量。 小说中的会话含义分成两级：人物间会话含义及作者传递给读者的会话含义。两种会话含义都是通过人物对话实现的,都应该在英汉翻译中得到再现。 本文提出了侦探小说会话含义再现的原则：对情节发展和读者推理至关重要的会话含义应该确保清楚无误地被读者理解,对情节发展和读者推理起次要作用的会话含义可以继续保持隐含。本文论证了语境在会话含义再现中的重要作用,并由此提出会话含义再现可以分为两个步骤：首先借助源语语境获得会话含义；然后根据译语语境再现会话含义。...
