《处女与吉普赛人》——男权至上与女性意识的对立

　　本文以劳伦斯的中篇小说《处女与吉普赛人》为文本,深入剖析维多利亚时期遗留的男权思想对女性的束缚,运用女性主义理论及弗洛伊德心理分析探讨小说中主要人物不同表现的深层原因,体现了劳伦斯在作品中最终追求两性平衡的思想。 戴维·赫伯特·劳伦斯被公认为是20世纪英国文学史上最伟大、最有争议的作家之一。他以独特的视角和心理描写见长,专注于刻画人物的精神世界,极力反对资本主义制度对人类原始欲望和本能的压抑,手法大胆地歌颂两性肉体之爱,在他看来,和谐的两性关系是维系幸福婚姻的基础,这一思想在当时是极大的突破,尤令统治阶级难以接受。因此被误认为“色情作家”而备受争议,作品长期遭禁。我国直至改革开放后才开始大量引入劳伦斯的作品,将“劳伦斯热”推向高潮。时至今日,“劳伦斯热”仍在世界各地不断升温。 《处女与吉普赛人》是劳伦斯献给妻子弗里达的作品,与有浓重自传色彩的小说《儿子与情人》一样,相当一部分情节以弗里达前夫的真实家庭生活为蓝本,人物以她与前夫所生子女为原型,是劳伦斯中篇小说中的重要代表,被称为迷你版的《查泰莱夫人的情人》。它主题明确,矛盾突出,结构紧凑,因此对劳伦斯本人及其作品研究都具有重要意义。小说...
