英汉空间方位词隐喻延伸义的对比研究

　　空间作为人类认知世界的一个基本范畴,已经受到各界学者的普遍关注,而空间方位指空间内的两个或多个物体间的位置关系。由于人类处于共同的物理空间,表达空间方位范畴的词构成了一个封闭的词集。无论何种语言,空间方位范畴中都包含上—下、前—后、里—外等基本方位概念。对于隐喻的研究已由来已久,隐喻不仅是一种修辞手法,更是一种人类认知世界的工具。在体验的基础上,人们通过隐喻将未知的事物与已知的事物建立联系以认知世界。恰恰由于空间概念的基础性地位,人们往往以空间概念为始源域,向其他抽象的目的域投射隐喻意义,以获得新知。然而,人们对于空间方位隐喻意义的研究,普遍缺乏一定的系统性,且鲜有不同文化之间的对比分析。 本文拟从认知功能的角度,对比研究英汉空间方位中三组对应概念:上—下、前—后、里—外,通过对这三组空间方位词在词典和语料库中出现的相关体例进行质化分析,找出这三组空间词所表现的隐喻延伸义的共性与差异,并尝试从认知、文化和历史的角度给予解释。研究发现,英汉空间方位的隐喻义在时间、状态、社会地位和关系的目标域中都有所体现,且整体上体现出相似的隐喻意义。无论英语还是汉语,在时间域中,“上”、“前”倾向表示时...
