中美政治演讲中概念隐喻之批评性对比研究

　　随着社会的发展,民主和文明已成为世界各国人民的共同追求。因此,政治家们往往需要借助公开演讲来激发民众热情、获取听众支持,以达到其宣传、教育、鼓动或交流的政治目的。然而,政治语言往往十分枯燥和抽象。为了能够更好地被听众所理解和接受,政治家们通常要用一些简单生动的语言来表达那些抽象的政治概念。这时,有着极佳煽动性和阐释性的隐喻就成了他们的最佳选择。 从最初将其看作是一种单纯的修辞手段,到现在认为它是人类概念系统的反映,各国学者们对隐喻的研究已有两千多年的历史。特别是最近几十年,越来越多的语言学家开始关注政治语言中的隐喻研究。然而,针对政治演讲中概念隐喻的对比研究却很少有人涉及。 本研究所用语料选自中国国家主席江泽民、胡锦涛以及美国总统克林顿、奥巴马在出国访问期间对大学生所做的演讲,其中中方语料为14073字,美方语料为11696词。本研究以Lakoff的概念隐喻理论为基础,采用Charteris-Black (2004)提出的批评隐喻分析方法,分三步——隐喻识别、隐喻阐释和隐喻说明——对中美两方语料中的概念隐喻进行对比分析。定量分析和定性分析在研究过程中均有所应用。 研究表明,概念隐喻在中...
