从功能文体学视角重读丁尼生的三首诗歌

  阿尔弗雷德.丁尼生是英国维多利亚时期的主要代表诗人。他的诗歌不仅反映了他个人对社会现象的思考和解读,同时也揭示了那个时代人们对新思想的疑虑、彷徨和憧憬。本论文尝试着从功能文体学视角重读丁尼生的三首诗歌。 功能文体学是以系统功能语言学为基础的一门应用学科。社会符号层面的三变量(话语范围,话语基调和话语方式),语义层的三大纯理功能(概念功能,人际功能和语篇功能),词汇语法层的及物性系统、语气系统和主述位系统依次为体现关系。 韩礼德认为语言具有三种纯理功能:作者/讲话者作为观察者的概念功能,用以表达人们的社会经历和内心的心理经验,同时也表达事物之间的各种逻辑关系;作者/讲话者作为闯入者的人际功能,旨在表达他的意见、态度、评价和他与听话者相对角色关系;和作者/讲话者作为语篇组织者的语篇功能,它把概念功能和人际功能关联成一个整体,共同在情景语境中起作用。 本论文在总结韩礼德的功能文体学的理论和实践的基础上,选取了丁尼生的三首诗歌并用其理论进行分析。从三大纯理功能进行分析,旨在发现这三首诗歌的主题和语言特征,并对其进行解释。此外利用功能文体学理论所特有的情景语境和文化语境对三首诗歌进行了深层次的分...
