论海明威笔下的“父子”关系

　　海明威,现代著名作家,被后人视为“迷惘一代”及中产阶级的典型代表。在35年的写作生涯中,海明威探索了人类生活的许多方面以及人与人之间的关系,但似乎在所有的这些关系中作者对父子关系的描写尤为重要,该篇论文对恩瑞斯特.海明威作品中父子关系的描写以及世代冲突进行了分析与对比,并对其作品中父子关系的象征意义做了深层次的解读. 海明威描写的主角们总是处于重压下而且面临各种艰难困苦,最后依靠勇气和力量而获胜。本论文通过研究发现,海明威在作品中运用父子角色,从儿子的视角描述了儿子在艰难的现实环境中渐渐成长的过程。阐明了这样的观点:孩子尤其是男孩,在其早期的性格形成阶段对外界的刺激与冲突极其敏感。 海明威作品强调孩子与父亲的关系,作品中的父、子角色们共同分享着温情与失落、崇敬与矛盾、简单与复杂、以及相互之间永无止境的压抑情愫。从《印第安帐篷》、《医生和医生的妻子》中对强大白人父亲形象的解构,海明威向我们展示了现代文明社会的肤浅和错误的价值观,而这些都是不能被作品的主角-儿子所接受。因此,儿子在对父亲与生俱来的亲情和对父亲价值观的否定两者之间摇摆不定。海明威的最后一篇以尼克亚当斯为主角的小说《父与子》,...
