叙事学视角下的传记文学翻译——以《才智过人》为例

　　本文试图寻找结合叙事学理论和传记翻译的方法,重点关注原文叙事特点在译文中的重现过程。叙事学理论目前主要运用于虚构性文学作品而非传记等非虚构型作品,且相对于全球化趋势下读者对传记作品的强烈需求,当下传记翻译理论相对较少。因此,本文将叙事学技巧运用到传记翻译上,具有一定的参考价值。传记常常会记载大量历史事件和传主的个人经历,这增强了将叙事学运用到传记翻译上的可操作性。本文基于叙事学有关聚焦、引语和时距的关键理论,分析了The Man Who Knew(在本论文中译为《才智过人》)中常见叙事工具的功能,接着指出在翻译过程中重现这些叙事工具的难点,然后对应地提出了六个翻译策略,包括转移与转换,增译,分译,直译,建立参照关系,建立逻辑关系等六个翻译策略。因此本文或能为传记文学的译者提供一些叙事学理论指导下的独特洞察。
