《活着》英译本批评：文学文体学的视角

《活着》是我国当代作家余华的代表作之一,这部作品以双叙述视角的模式讲述了建国前后在国家经历了巨大变迁的大背景下福贵老人的一生。小说的语言朴实无华,但却在简单的语言中给予读者心灵上的震撼。此外,小说的背景是新中国时期的农村,语言的特点也非常符合人物形象。其英译本由美国加州大学教授白睿文完成。此研究旨在,通过运用文学文体学对《活着》的英译本进行批评,进而阐释其指导下的分析模式和方法对文学翻译的指导价值。论文采用细读法对文中前景化的文体特征进行了定性,通过比较法对原文和译文的表述和审美效果进行了对比,进而对原文和译文的审美价值进行比较评估。研究表明,白睿文的《活着》英译本在很大程度上忠实于原文的内容,实现了与原文相似的审美价值,恰到好处地向目标读者介绍了此部深入人心的作品,但也有审美缺失和误译的现象存在。具体的实例研究证明,文学文体学对文学作品分析以及文学翻译批评有着实用且具体的指导意义。
