意象图式视角下《牡丹亭》英译本中文化意象的重构研究

  明代戏曲家汤显祖的《牡丹亭》是中国古典文学中一部不朽的杰作,无论在思想内容方面还是在艺术成就方面都达到了中国古典戏剧的巅峰,是与莎士比亚的《罗密欧与朱丽叶》齐名的世界名剧。《牡丹亭》中贯穿着丰富独特的意象,而且这些意象中无不渗透着深厚的中国文化。正是这些文化意象构成了《牡丹亭》的鲜明特色。意象是客体经过主体的审美旨趣关注后呈现于主体意识中的现象,是结合了个人审美情趣和文化倾向的表现符号。文化意象是蕴涵文化意义的意象,文化意象渗透在言词之中,言词中包含着广阔而深沉的内涵,传达出一种美的旨趣。文化意象的翻译可视作整个翻译活动的一面镜子,可以说,研究如何翻译文化意象归根到底就是在研究如何翻译中国文化,或者说,文化意象翻译就是如何传承和传播中国文化。因此,从文化意象的角度研究《牡丹亭》是一项很有意义的课题,不仅能弘扬中国典籍文化而且能提高国家文化软实力。本文旨在从意象图式视角出发,以赵艳芳的意象图式理论为主要理论框架,该理论认为人们不仅认识个别事物,而且对事物之间的关系也有认知,经过对这些关系反复组织便形成了意象图式。通过对意象传递、意象转换、意象再造三个方面分析意象图式理论在文化意象翻译过程...
