衔接和连贯理论在大学英语完形填空教学中的应用

  语篇的衔接与连贯是语篇研究的核心,语篇的构成必须靠衔接与连贯之间的相互作用。衔接(cohesion)可以定义为在一篇文章中的各个部分之间的语法和词汇关系,它是使语篇构成一个有形的网络而且具有显明性,衔接手段分为五大类:照应(reference)、替代(substitution)、省略(ellipsis)、连接(conjunction)以及词汇衔接(1exical cohesion),前四种属于语法衔接(Grammatical cohesion)。连贯是指在语篇中能被读者感觉到的“意义连续系”,它是语篇的无形网络并且它具有隐含性。 对衔接和连贯理论在大学英语完形填空教学中的应用的文献进行全面学习之后,本文作者发现虽然完形填空被认为是一种能够测试被试使用语言综合能力的题型,但是到目前为止很少有人对衔接和连贯理论在大学英语完形填空教学中的应用进行研究,因此作者认为此项研究非常有必要。此外,当作者在对大学一年级学生进行问卷调查时发现,完形填空是令他们感到最难的题型。而当问到他们如何做题时,很多学生说他们只是从传统语法的角度孤立地去看有空项所在的句子并且分析该句子的结构而不是从整体着眼分析各个语...
