存在主义视角下《月亮与六便士》中自我与他者的人际关系探究

本论文的研究对象是英国著名作家毛姆的《月亮与六便士》当中的主人公斯特里克兰德与各个不同人物之间的人际关系。从萨特的存在主义视角出发,剖析主人公的极度“自我”与“他者”是如何产生千丝万缕的联系,又如何与“他者”切断联系的,并且达到主人公所追求的“个人精神至上”的境界。本课题的难点在于如何利用萨特的存在主义挖掘出斯特里克兰德人性深处的矛盾,从而剖析“自我”与“他者”之间的关系。本论文正文部分主要分为四个部分,第一部分主要解读萨特存在主义的“存在先于本质”“世界是荒谬的”“自由选择”以及“他人即地狱”这四个方向,利用这四个方向可以剖析造成人物性格的原因以及对于人际关系的影响。第二部分分析小说中各个人物的性格特点以及对于现实和精神层面的不同追求,包括斯特里克兰德、斯特里克兰德太太、施特略夫、勃朗什以及爱塔,从这几个人物性格特点的分析可以解读出他们对于之后人际关系展开的不同方式。第三部分主要分析主人公斯特里克兰德与其太太、施特略夫、勃朗什、爱塔之间的人际关系是如何展开以及如何结束的,对照第二部分对存在主义的分析,可以更深一步的反映出小说中人物对于现实与精神层面的不同追求,以及他们是如何处理现实与...
