功能文体学视角下《喜福会》美籍华裔女性话语研究

《喜福会》是著名美籍华裔作家谭恩美的成名作,现今己成为美国文学的经典之作。谭恩美以讲故事的方式深入细腻地描绘了四对华裔母女的移民史和成长史,书中华裔母女之间的对话体现了华裔女性独特的语言风格,并映射了美籍华裔家庭的文化代沟问题。该书华裔女性的话语深刻反映了美籍华人家庭在美国生活的现实问题,因此,从功能文体学的角度对其会话挖掘对话的语境、功能以及语言的内涵,对于揭示人物的内心世界与现实世界的互动过程具有一定的研究价值。功能文体学是以韩礼德的系统功能语法为理论基础的现代文体学理论的一个分支。它把语言看作是具有意义潜势的系统,并着重研究对语言选择的过程以及选择的结果所产生的文体效应的研究。它用语境以及语言元功能理论的全新视角来透析语篇的构建过程。本文将尝试从功能文体学的角度对《喜福会》中华裔女性话语进行研究,并探讨其语言特点形成的社会原因,以便达到更好的沟通效果。论文的主体部分是运用概念功能和人际功能对华裔女性话语进行分析,通过分析得出以下结果:1)其语言特点多为被动的,顺从的。2)排比句和模糊词语使用比例大,以此来引起听话者的注意和表达自己的礼貌客气。3)语言简短,语句不完整,语式口语化,...
