《赎罪》的成长小说特征探析

伊恩·麦克尤恩是英国当代著名作家,在文坛冠有“阴森的麦克尤恩”称号。从1978年的作品《水泥花园》问世开始,麦克尤恩至今已经出版了13部长篇小说。小说《赎罪》发表于2001年,被认为是伊恩·麦克尤恩最具成就的小说之一,并获得布克奖等多项奖项的提名,并最终获得W·H·史密斯文学奖。《时代周刊》将其列入有史以来最伟大的百部小说之一。小说《赎罪》主要叙述了主人公成长的故事:十三岁年幼无知的少女因误会导致姐姐和她相爱的人分离,之后随着成长经历顿悟和反省,以自我赎罪逐渐褪去稚嫩,最后尾声进入晚年坦白一切,完成了一生的成长之旅。可以说《赎罪》是一部典型的成长小说,但是从这个角度去分析文本的研究作品却屈指可数。成长是文学作品永恒的主题,也是当代英国文学关注的一大焦点,成长小说正是这类“叙述青少年成长过程讲述青少年成长经历的小说”类型。本论文结合成长小说理论弥补目前国内研究不详尽的现状,丰富了对于成长小说理论以及麦克尤恩文本的探究。论文将从五部分来分析《赎罪》的成长小说特征。绪论部分介绍英国作家麦克尤恩及其作品《赎罪》,并对小说的国内外研究进行简要介绍,并提出论文的组织结构。第一章为理论基础阐释部分,...
