多义词词义缩小和扩大现象的词汇语用研究

一词多义是一种普遍存在的语言现象,它指的是一个词有两个或者两个以上的义项,而且这些义项之间存在着相互联系。多义词的生成和理解机制一直是语言学的焦点问题之一,但前人的研究多集中在多义词的内部结构以及词义发展的规律和模式,很少涉及多义词词义的选择和理解。结构主义语义学和认知语言学对一词多义现象的研究都偏离了语境因素,因此无法充分解释多义词词义缩小和扩大现象。 词汇语用学是近年来出现在国外语言学研究中的一个新概念,是语用学领域迅速发展的一门新的分支学科,主要关注语言使用中不确定性词义的语用处理。它涉及语义学、语用学、词汇学、认知语言学等之间的界面研究,包括词义的语用收缩和语用扩充等信息加工,特别是话语理解中特定词汇信息的语用处理。词汇语用学以格莱斯提出的会话合作原则为理论基础,结合语用机制,语境知识和百科知识,对词汇意义进行动态研究,认为理解不确定性词义需要结合语境和百科知识进行必要的语用充实,而特定语境下多义词词义的理解是对其编码义进行弱化,延伸或扩展的过程。 本文在前人研究的基础上,从词汇语用角度阐释了多义词词义缩小和扩大的定义以及分类,并以词汇语用学的两大语用原则会话含义理论和关联理论...
