　　本文从心理分析的理论视角来探讨劳伦斯在《恋爱中的女人》里对现代机器文明以及异化人格的批判，和对个人完整人格的憧憬。本文着重分析了和两对人物(杰拉德和古娟；伯金和厄秀拉)心理结构相关的语言、内心独自和仪式性场景等，发现劳伦斯不仅揭示了以杰拉德和古娟为代表的社会成员的自大狂心理以及机器文明的替罪羊机制，也描绘了伯金式的完整人格，从而批判了无力控制死亡本能的现代机器文明，也表达了对体现生命本能的个人完整人格的憧憬。
