本文试图从文化差异的角度对傅东华和黄怀仁、朱攸若的《飘》的中译本进行对比研究,目的在于找出两者所使用的翻译策略,分析不同的翻译方法在对待文化差异问题上的优劣,进而给读者带来启发。 全文共分五章。 第一章,作者首先指出了本研究的意义所在,解释了翻译的实质和文学翻译的过程,介绍了小说《飘》及其两个译本,然后回顾了历史上翻译界对其进行研究的方法和成果,继而提出了本文的研究方法,即文化差异角度研究。 第二章的目的在于分析在文学翻译中注意文化差异的必要性。本章解释了什么是文化,提出了有关文化的定义的最权威的解释,认为文化主要分为物质文化,制度文化和精神文化,前两者属于文化的显性方面,后者又可以称作文化的隐性方面。文章接着指出本文将从文化差异的两个方面进行研究,即从显性文化差异和隐性文化差异角度进行研究。 第三、四两章是论文的主体部分。作者分别从显性文化差异和隐性文化差异两个主要方面对《飘》的两个中译本进行对比分析。在第三章中,作者指出显性文化差异体现在文学翻译中主要为语言差异,翻译需要在语言的民族性和自然性,历史性和时代性之间寻找平衡。第四章指出,文化的隐性差异也就是文化的精神差异。文章从三个角...
