马礼逊《华英字典》中儒家思想的译介与传播研究

儒学是中国传统文化的重要组成部分,反映了中华民族的精神内核和价值观念。儒家典籍的译介是促进中国传统文化走出去,提升国家软实力的重要途径。双语词典的收词和译介功能在文化传播中的作用也不容忽视。作为世界上第一部汉英字典,马礼逊编纂的《华英字典》包含大量的儒家典籍句例,对中国儒学的传播具有开创性影响。双语词典中儒家句例的译介研究在促进中国传统文化的传播及发挥双语词典文化交流功能等方面具有重要实践意义。本研究以马礼逊《华英字典》中收录的儒家句例为研究对象,致力于探究马礼逊在早期汉英双语词典中的儒学传播策略,即传播内容和翻译策略。笔者从深度翻译视角对字典中出自儒家十三经中的句例进行收集和分析,首先展示了句例的收集情况和分类统计数据,共收集1398例,发现虽然十三经中每部典籍的句例在字典中均有收录,但数量有明显差异。其中出自《诗经》、《易经》和《尚书》中的句例占比较高,达61%;出自《尔雅》、《孝经》、《仪礼》、《公羊传》和《谷梁传》中的句例较少;《论语》中句例多为编者自行添加,并未借鉴其参照蓝本《康熙字典》;其次,通过分析句例的分布情况和内容,从整体分析和对比分析两个方面归纳出句例所体现的儒学内...
