留荷中国高技术移民群体的社会关系网络建构

近年来,在荷兰留学的中国学生数量十分可观,他们中的很多人在毕业之后选择留在荷兰工作定居,转变成为高技术移民群体。对于这个群体而言,社会关系网络的建构对于他们的跨文化适应以及永久性定居是至关重要的。然而,针对其社会关系网络建构过程的研究依旧匮乏。本文采用质性访谈的方法,收集了26位留荷工作的中国员工的数据信息,旨在探究这个移民群体社会关系网的动态建构过程,其中包括关系网的建立,维护,以及关系网络中资源动用三个部分。文章将从社会结构限制,个人理性选择,中国人特有的人情面子文化,以及社会资本理论等角度对他们的行为策略进行分析。基于对采访数据的分析,笔者发现这个高技术移民群体的社会关系网的建构呈现出两个特点鲜明的阶段。第一阶段,当他们以国际学生的身份初到荷兰时,网络建立主要依靠直接和间接方式。其中,社交环境的特点极大程度上影响了他们社会关系网的多样性。在第二阶段,这个群体从原先的国际学生转变成了高技术员工,步入了工作场所。个人理性选择在他们社交策略的选择中施加了重要的影响。他们基于理性考虑,选择性的维护学生时代建立的一些关系网络,同时,与公司的同事保持恰当的人际关系距离。与以往的研究不同,笔者...
