【摘要】：本文试图论述科技论文英文摘要(EAST)的主要特点之一, 即“简明扼要”(compendiousness)。文章分七部分: 第一章, 即引论。在综述了国内外有关研究科技论文英文摘要写作的各种资料的基础上, 提出了本文的研究目的和范围。目前,科学技术迅速发展, 每年发表的各类科技论文、著作数以万计。科技人员要了解本学科的最新发展,全部阅读这些论文和著作是不可能的,所以他们首先要依靠读论文摘要。摘要已被广泛的用来帮助科学技术人员达到迅速、全面、完整、准确的了解原文的主要内容, 节省大量时间和精力。因此, 研究科技论文英文摘要的写作从而帮助科技人员和理工科学生写出更好的科技论文英文摘要是很有必要的。“简明扼要”是论文摘要的一个突出的特点,它包括语言简练,内容充实两个方面。本文从对原文内容的删减和语言上相应的表达技巧两个方面着手,来帮助读者了解怎样写好科技论文英文摘要。 第二章,文献综述。首先以文体学为理论基础,研究分析了科技论文英文摘要的写作特点和技巧。科技英语是为了满足科学技术领域交际需要而形成的一种语言变体。科学性,客观性,简洁性等是其内在的要求,所以科技文体形成了自身有别于其他文体的特征。科技论文英文摘要除了具有科技英语写作的语言特点,还凸现出其自身在词汇、语法、句法等层面上的文体特点。笔者还简单回顾了科技论文英文摘要写作的历史和发展,对摘要在各个历史时期的产生、应用进行了论述。 第三章,论述了科技论文英文摘要的种类。科技论文英文摘要通常分为资料性摘要( informative abstract ); 描述性摘要
