中国英语专业硕士生论文写作中显性衔接与隐性衔接的实证研究

【摘要】：英语写作技能在交际中发挥着重要的作用。对于中国英语学习者而言，他们在写作中碰到的最大挑战莫过于写出衔接性良好的语句。因此，衔接在篇章组织中的重要地位值得我们的关注。基于韩礼德和哈桑（1976）的衔接理论，本文将衔接手段划分为显性衔接和隐形衔接两大类。并从中国知网中随机选取了30篇由中国英语专业硕士生撰写的学位论文，将这些论文内容转化为纯文本，运用语料库中的Antconc3.2.1软件查询本文所要研究的显性衔接和隐性衔接手段。具体而言，本文所要研究以下三个问题：（1）中国英语专业硕士生论文中的显性衔接和隐性衔接手段的特征；（2）中国英语专业硕士生在运用显性衔接和隐性衔接手段时存在的问题；（3）导致中国英语专业硕士生在衔接手段尤其是隐性衔接手段运用不当的诱因及对于中国英语写作教学的启示。研究结果显示中国英语专业硕士生在论文写作中使用了大量丰富的显性和隐性衔接手段，但是显性衔接手段的数量远远超过隐性衔接手段的数量，，两者比例相差悬殊。在显性衔接和隐性衔接手段的使用特点上，中国英语专业的研究生喜欢用第三人称，似乎这样使论文显得较为客观。在指示指称运用上，他们运用this和these的频率比that和those高。在比较指称运用方面，他们常常在论文中使用more和the most。在四类连接词的使用方面，他们倾向于使用一些以前学过的诸如and, or, but, however, because, so, first, firstly,而放弃了后来学到的如in addition, on the contrary, consequently, in short。在替代和省略的使用上，英语专业的研究生喜欢选择one或ones作为替代词，经常使用动词性省略。而在隐性衔接手段方面，他们倾向于用否定性的前缀来构成反义词，而派生词类是通过添加后缀来形成的。中国英语专业的学生在显性衔接和隐性衔接手段的使用上也存在着一些问题，人称的不一致，冠词使用错误，比较级词组more and more的频繁出现，增补和转折关系的连接词使用不当；词汇重复现象严重，近义词和反义词的使用不足，词汇搭配和派生也存在着一些错误。最后，本文认为语言迁移、思维差异、词汇贫乏和心理回避是影响中国英语专业研究生显性衔接手段和隐性衔接手段尤其是后者使用不足的因素，并建议中国英语教师从改善词汇教学、鼓励学生广泛阅读以及注重词块教学这些方面来改善中国英语写作教学。
