基于阅读的词汇附带习得在高中英语教学中的实证研究

  词汇附带习得已被证实为二语学习者扩大词汇量的的重要途径之一。近来更多的研究开始探究影响二语阅读中学习者、语篇、词汇等各层面因素对词汇附带习得的影响,但研究结果仍未有定论,尤其缺乏对高中阶段英语学习者的研究。故本研究旨在回答以下三个问题:1)中国高中生在二语阅读过程中如何进行词汇附带习得?存在哪些问题?2)语篇层面因素(如话题熟悉度和文学类型)如何影响词汇的习得和保留?3)目标语的某些特征,如词性和长度,如何影响对词汇的习得和记忆?本研究在某重点高中进行英语语篇阅读与词汇量测试及其相关实验。92名高中一年级学生参加了这项研究。正式的阅读实验前的词汇量测试表明他们是中级水平的英语学习者。在阅读和词汇测试之前,参与者完成一份对于他们在词汇附带习得方面的表现和态度。其后参与者被要求阅读两组具有相似难度水平和不同主题熟悉程度的阅读材料。每次阅读语篇之后,他们完成一些关于阅读语篇内容的复述任务并接受词汇习得即时测试,三周后接受延时词汇测试。研究结果表明,在二语阅读中:1)中国高中学生在除了叙事阅读以外的说明文和议论文阅读中都可以获得新的词汇。虽然学生词汇量不低,活跃词汇量相对较少。此外,高中学生对...
